Has anybody tried this?
It's a fairly common problem amongst import guitars in my experience, and I'd like to clean it up a little bit if possible.
Using a solvent seems like a bad idea, as I wouldn't want to mess up the frets that are already seated. Sanding it doesn't seem like a good idea either, as I think I'd sand down fretboard wood before I got the glue (assuming the glue is harder than wood, which iirc is true).
Any luthiers/bedroom warriors tried this before?
FWIW, I'd rather just live with it than take multiple guitars to a tech for this.
Did you buy a Carvin?
