'Best' Strat variant(company) for the cash?

I'm looking to get a strat, probably s/s/s, and I don't know what's good outside of shredders. I'm really liking the LTD ST series, and I know G&L is really well liked, as for fender, I have no idea what's good and what's poop. The main one I'm looking at is the LTD ST213 Olympic White.

Find an older Charvel, like the white one that's been passed around like herpes at a porn convention here.

    Edit: D'oh, not S/S/S though.

I third Warmoth. My dad and I each have one, and they're awesome, and really nice guys. It's worth it for the choice of frets and radius alone IMHO.

Leon you are the fucking man. Chris I actually really liked that charvel, but that's basically what my SL2 is.

    I'll check warmoth's in stock.

G&L. End of story. Unlike a Warmoth, it's already built, and you're not risking getting someone else's botched project guitar if you buy a used one.

Used G&L Tributes (the imports) go for dirt cheap and are first-rate. Buying a new one of those would be reasonable, too. You can even get a used USA G&L Legacy (their s/s/s Strat) for around $600, and it's better than the typical USA Fender.
