I've been saving for a Jackson for a while now, but I walked into Guitar Clinic, and just happen to wrap my hand around the neck of a Schecter and stopped dead in my tracks. I usually walk right past them without giving then a single thought. The neck felt really good in my hand. My arthritic fingers wrapped around the neck easily and was really comfortable. So I though, why not. $300 bucks and I was out the door with a new guitar.
Most probably dont like it, and concider it a POS due to the low price. My entire criteria set around choosing a guitar is comfort. With Rheumatoid Arthritis in every joint in my body, literally, with the exception of 3 toes a guitar has to be physically comfortable for me to play, and light so I'm not carrying too much weight.
Here's a pic of what I have for a fretting hand!
Jeez, early morning coffee and painkillers. The combo is all I need to ramble!
The whole point of this post was to post a pic of my NG, and to ask about replacement pickups. What would be a good general all around choice for playing metal. So far the stock pups sound fine, but that'll eventually change I'm sure
Hey man grats on the new axe. My dad has bad Arthritis like your self and goes though a lot of pain at times I'm glade to see you mussel through and not stop playing.
