Been wanting a really good Strat for a while now and I've only ever really owned YJM models in the past. As much as they are fantastic I wanted something different, a little more traditional. So this EJ popped-up at a pretty good price and in great condition so I just had to have it. I'd heard great things about them and how accurate they are to the originals from the 50's. I'm over the moon with it. The best Strat I've ever played and one of the best guitars period too. It's really light, super resonant, quacky, snappy...just perfect and what a Strat should be. It's got a great thick neck on it but it's not too meaty. The neck is a little sticky at the moment what with the laquer, but it will wear over time. It hasn't left my lap since I got it.

Enough of my babble though, pics! Rubbish ones for now until the sun shines here at some point and I get it outside.

I really dig the YJM so I'd love to try an EJ. If I could get a couple more Fenders it would be this and the Blackmore.

It really is. That was a big complaint with the YJM. What with the low output pickups in it and only a 3-way switch. But with the EJ, it's a completely different beast. 5-way switch and the custom pickups designed by EJ & Michael Frank-Braun. This thing can do anything. It sounds so good unplugged too.

The photos I took are horrible and do no justice to it whatsoever. The white blonde colour on the body really shines through in-person. I'm mega happy with it.

Ah, super jealous! The EJ strat is one of my dream guitars. I'd love to have one with a pair of the John Mayer pickups in it.

Nice. I've heard nothing but good things about the EJ Strats.
