Found a Jckson for sale in Ottawa this weekend for $250. Went over to the guys place, gave it a quick once over as I was in a hurry, and I missed this :
Wouldnt you know it. i gave it a quick once over as I siad. But I never would have thought to check there. WTF could have happened there?
It seems to be shimmed, and the hole is deep enough that you can see a thread or 2 on the screw.
Can this be repaired? Does anyone have any experience with something like this? I could use some advice, I might just attempt to fix this myself.
Here's the rest of the guitar.
It's pretty dirty and as you can see, the Floyd needs a good cleaning and maybe a little lube. The EMG's are supposed to be the Kerry King KFK 81+85+PA2
Any suggestions on how I can tackle this would be appreciated, even if you think I should pay someone to fix this.
Does it have to be repaired? I guess what I'm asking is, is there a problem other than how it looks? No one's going to see it, and if it doesn't affect playability, just leave well enough alone.
