I'm ordering a replacement for the beautiful yet unstable wenge neck on my Warmoth. I've settled on a less exotic but more stable quartersawn neck with an ebony board.
On the current one, the headstock is angled; but my Strat and JS are both straight.
What's the difference, functionally? Is there a tone difference? Tuning stability?
My other two Ibanezes are slanted headstocks, and I can't say there's any apparent difference in either factor, but I wanted to ask before ordering.
Also, as cool as they look, I'm really tired of reversed headstocks. I think I'm going normal on this one. Just easier to tune.
