The fret access on my San Dimas is actually starting to bug me now. I've had it a few months, and I still absolutely love this guitar to bits, tone and set up are phenomenal, and dat neck! ... but the big old school neck heel is becoming frustrating.
I didn't mind it at first, in fact I thought it was a good thing, to perhaps challenge my playing and go back to basics, but if something is encumbering your playing it's never a good thing, no matter how awesome the rest of the guitar is.
It's not so bad when you just play that guitar, but when I play one of my others with better access then go back to the Charvel, I feel really bummed out.
Everything else about this guitar is badass. It's the absolute antithesis of style-over-substance. It's a ridiculously simple, clean, basic guitar, with pure functionality and playability at heart. I love that about it. So why not make one with a better neck heel dammit!
As far as I'm aware, Charvel don't make shaped heels or neck-thrus or anything do they? Unless you go custom? And lord knows I can't afford that shit...
What about chest rocking it?
