Got a late b-day gift from a best friend and band mate tonight. Could not believe my eyes when I opened the case. My jaw dropped and I ain't gonna lie... it brought a tear to my eye. This has been quite litterally my dream guitar since they came out and got discontinued shortly afterward. And finding them now is no easy task. Never ever thought I would see one in person, let alone own one. I'm a pretty damn happy camper right about now.
Anyway, played it at practice tonight and there's not one thing I want to change about it. Ok, maybe white powder coated hardware would rule. But I'm not going to really worry about that. Sounds and plays fantastic! The longer scale and larger body fit me perfectly being 6'4". And it's got a chambered body so it doesn't weigh a metric fuck ton. Still has some good heft to it but definitely not what you would expect. The roasted maple fretboard is pretty trippy too. And it for sure has that Les Paul growl to it. Gonna be buried with this thing.
Is that the Bucket Head guitar???? Congrats dude....you have awesome friends.
