Definitely not a metal guitar but that was the point for me. I've wanted to get a jazz guitar for a while and the Gibsons are just out of my price range. I came across the Epiphone Dot Studios but then came across Ibanez's Artcore line of semi-hollow and hollowbody guitars. They sound great and are a pretty good value.
I initially leaned to the semi-hollows but then decided on the hollow body models. Here in the Pacifc Northwest, people selling their Artcores want about $100 more than the same model down in Southern California. I waited and waited and finally saw this 2004 AG85-TRD 12-01 come up for $300 with hard case. Now to learn how to play it!
3 piece Mahogany / Maple neck
Bubinga wood for sides / back / top
Ibanez ACH1 neck pickup and ACH2 bridge pickup
Ibanez 2004 Artcore Catalog
Looks very tasty! Beautiful top on that guitar, how does it play? By the way this isn't helping my gretsch white falcon GAS.
EDIT: you must upload a video of you playing the ren and stimpy theme tune ASAP.
