Yeah, stacked fourths are interesting, especially if you only stack one set. A 1-4 diad can also be interpreted as a 5-1 (or 5-8).
You are right with the 5th below, I do that quite a bit. It is particularly fulfilling under a power thrid as you are replacing the missing fifth. Another fun one to do in drop tuning is the 1-5-3 combo, a la Scar Symmetry.
The key is not to do just one, but switch between each voicing between (or inside) of each chord, making the harmonic movement counter (and richer) than straight parallel movement.
