    NGD-Jim Root Jazzmaster

Wanted to throw this up, because when I was looking there were literally ZERO reviews of this guitar that weren't from a music store trying to sell me one. I found one right before it should have been delivered, but that was I'm posting this everywhere I can.

Started out searching for an older hard tail Strat, then newer ones, then found the JR Strat and then this. It was over. I held out about 6 hrs before I caved. Neck is fatter than the Strats I've had and I dig that. Schaller locking tuners and strap locks, Fender hard tail bridge, brushed chrome EMGs which sound fat as fuck in this guitar. About 9 1/2 lbs. Solid mahogany body and ebony board with jumbos. Fretwork is great. I dig the 70s headstock too. REALLY comfortable to play sitting or standing.

Been slamming it for a couple of hours....stays in tune great and it's really easy to play. I'm impressed...Fender has really stepped up their game lately....all the ones I've gotten have been top notch. On the lookout for the JR Strat in black now.

That is hilariously ugly No matching headstock? Chrome pickups match nothing? Fretboard is distractingly darker than the body?

But really, if it plays and sounds great, that's all that matters

LMAO...I hear you man; it took me a minute to get used to it. I immediately wanted to black out the HS, but it grew on me fast. I still think it's ugly, but it's a beast and I can't put it down.

Awesome! I love all of the JR sigs! Simple, and to the point.

I don't love the looks either but these are seriously awesome players. I've played 4 of them now and each one was great. The necks are just perfect IMO. Happy NGD
