So this beauty arrived today!
Dare I say it sounds even better than it looks. I have once again gone with the Basswood + 5/8" Quilted Maple cap combo because it just never fails. Sounds incredible on the 6 string Custom Shop Jacksons I have and it works so damn well in the 7 string range. The low mids just sit right where they need to on palm mutes and don't get overbearing or flubby even though they are very present. Of course with the BKP Juggernaut set, the guitar has that wonderful combo that I love where it sounds huge and warm, but has tons of attack (especially when you dig in to the strings). A fun feature this guitar has as well is the tone knob, which I usually omit from my guitars. When the push/pull pot is down, the tone pot is bypassed, but when pulled up it activates, I can therefore set it where I want and just pull to it when I need a rolled off sound.
Anyways really stoked to have this in time for recording the new album and I definitely will be using this badman live.
