Was looking through gumtree and came across an ad for an RG3xxv. It was pretty close to where i live so i put in a low offer that i was expecting to be a starting point for some haggling but to my surprise it was accepted. The guitar was missing a trem arm and a locking nut bolt and pressure pad.
Off i went to pick the guitar up only to find that it wasn't an RG3xxv it was in fact an RGR465M. But it was a cute girl selling it and i checked for the obvious issues and it seemed ok so i took it anyway
Buyers remorse hit hard on the drive home worries about the edge3 and wizard 2 neck were haunting me so when i got home i pulled it straight out and went to set it up. But aside from lowering the action a touch it was pretty much already set up with no fret buzz. It seems very much like someone has done a good pro setup with a fret dress at some point.
The other thing with it was it is immaculate (aside from the missing parts) The girl selling it bought it to learn and never played it. There's not a scratch on it.
So long story short im really pleased with it this is my first RG but it wont be my last. I sold 2 guitars recently leaving me with just this and my jackson DK2FF so i may keep an eye out for a Japanese RG550 somewhere down the line. But for now i am having trouble putting this down the dimarzio activator and air norton sound great
So if an attractive girl is selling music gear, you're screwed?
Congrats on the axe.
