So I just bought a 96 parker fly deluxe. I needed a knob, trem arm, and case.
I called Parker and got a trem arm, but they cant get the original knobs.
Mine is missing the tip of the 1 stacked knob that controls the piezo tone/volume.
I figure at this point, i'l just buy a new set of knobs because I'l never find that tip(unless someone knows a place). My issue is that, I dont really want to put metal knobs on it if i can help it. It kinda goes against the idea of a super lightweight instrument by putting heavy metal knobs on it. Plus, I think the thinner, rubber/plastic style knobs just look right on a parker at this point.
Anyone have any suggestions? They need set screws because the pots have smooth, non-ribbed posts.
As for the case, I forgot to ask about when I was on the phone. Anyone know where you can get a parker case or a comparable, quality case that will tightly fit a parker?
If you guys can tell me anything else about parker history, that would be cool too. I know the pre buyout parkers are more desireable, and parker currently has basically went the route of having to pay 3 or 4 k for a legit parker and spewing out tons of Chinese "parkers" that are shaped like a parker without any of the technology that makes a parker guitar a parker guitar. But I'd love to know anything you can throw my way.
I'm stoaked. This is one of my bucket list guitars and have always wanted one since playing one at a Mars music in like 97. I'l grab pics as soon as it gets here.
