Yo yo yo and shit!
I picked up a new USA Maxxfly/Dragonfly Parker the other day. Apparently barely any of these were made as far as my research has gathered. Hardly anything on the googles about them.
It is exactly the same as a fly body other than the altered upper horn. This one has the radial neck joint, not the traditional Parker treatment. But its still a very high quality guitar. It has a floyd which is unusual for a Parker, Duncan sh6/tb6, stainless frets. Tuned it to C standard and having a blast with it.
It feels very similar to my Fly playwise. A bit heavier probably due to the floyd.
Its a very nice compliment to my 96 Fly Deluxe. At some point later this year, I'm going to start hunting for a Maxxfly with the full carbon treatment.
I must say that my 1 complaint with the Fly is the upper horn in the chest, but I changed strap placement on it so its not really an issue anymore. But on this Maxxfly, the upper horn completely fixes that issue and does so while making it just as sexy IMO. A Maxxfly with the carbon treatment would literally be my 100% perfect guitar. Grabbing this guy was a great deal because I got a good price, but confirmed that the horn mods perfected the 1 hold back that keeps my Fly from being my ultimate perfect guitar.
