    NGD: Japan only Ibanez

You guys may have seen this posed on SSO, but I hope you don't mind me posting it here. I am a heavy, daily lurker here, but I need to post more anyway.

First 7 string ever, and first Ibanez ever. It's a 2013 Ibanez Prestige RG2717 in dead mint condition. I can't believe this model wasn't around for longer or didn't gain traction in the U.S.

It has a single white pup (BKP Nailbomb, ceramic), TightEnd bridge, 24 jumbo frets, rosewood fretboard, about a 17" radius fretboard (430 mm), black nickel hardware, and white neck binding. I honestly couldn't have chosen better specs myself. Would LOVE to see an introduction (re-introduction) of this model in the U.S.!

The only complaint I have is that the black finish is pretty much impossible to get streak/smudge free. These pics are after about 20 minutes of wiping down with a soft, cotton t-shirt. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions on how to get a smudge free shine.

I wouldn't worry about streaks because I would be playing the fuck out of that thing, nice axe.

Do you look at the toilet paper after you wipe?

It's a tool, not an ornament. Go forth, play it, play it hard and administer metal.

Very nice, I nearly bought one of 2610s when they were here in the US. Rg's look so much better without a neck pickup.

Fuck, someone trying to take my crown as king of the Japanese only Ibanezes.

In all seriousness though that is a pretty fucking sweet piece of wood there and those tight end bridges are my 3rd favourite Ibanez hard tail bridge.

I don't know why Ibanez doesn't put these bridges on more guitars. They're very cool.
