I got this Modern Player Mustang for really cheap when it went on clearance at work ($220). It still needs a setup, but I tried to do a quick one today and I'm getting a lot of rattling from the strings at the bridge. I think it's definitely the saddles rattling because the two set screws on each saddle might not be perfectly level, but I think some of the strings are bottoming out on the metal plate closest to the bridge pickup.
I think these guitars were around $600 new, so I got a good deal. I've never set up these kinds of Fenders, though. Is it worth paying for a setup, or do you think I got one with a bad bridge? I also noticed these guitars are MIC, so I'm not totally sure what the quality's like. I like the overall feel of the guitar and it sounds good acoustically, I'm just not sure if it's worth paying for a setup to hope the issues with the bridge get resolved, or if I should just return it.
It's a mustang man, those and jaguar bridges are pretty bad for behind the bridge noise. Learn how to set it up first then if you still have the sam problem, take it to a tech and get them to show you the issue too.
