FedEx came today with my Blazer. It's in pretty decent shape for a 35-yr-old guitar. Sounds pretty decent, but I only played it enough to see whether the electronics work, and they do.
The one thing I wish the seller had revealed is that the saddle for high E is adjusted way too high and someone broke off one adjusting screw and stripped the other. I wouldn't have passed on buying it. I'd have just been looking for parts while it was on the way.
I'm not letting it go, though, because I like the little bastard. So, I'm fixing it.
I'm in the process of identifying the saddle type. It looks like a Gotoh style of some sort. I posted pics on the Ibanez Collector's forum.
Of course, if any of you can point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.
But, all in all, I'm very pleased. This is going to be a great little guitar I think.
UPDATE: It's not stripped. I got the bright idea to pull the saddle and see if I could back the screws out and find new screws. Some dumb fuck had the saddle on upside down.
I feel like an idiot, but I'm glad I figured it out.
Looks like an early Music Man guitar!
Do you know where it was made? (Matsumoku, Fujigen, etc.?) That might help in figuring out what kind of replacement screws to get.
