Pics first... my new camera arrived today so theres a few of them:
Now a few pics with my Esp Eclipse and the Edwards LP for comparison:
And finally the Grassroots LP i also picked up:
So i already own an ESP Eclipse (as you can see) but this popped up and i couldnt pass on it. Build quality is great, the neck is comfortable.. and best of all it sounds great. Does high gain stuff well but shines on low-mid gain. Kinda blame Bonamassa for my current LP gas. Though seeing Slash last month also didnt really help matters!
The Eslipse plays better that the Edwards even though they have a similar setup. Bending on the Eclipse is just so easy. And i like the Thin U on the Eclipse better than the thicker Edwards neck but its not so thick that i cant get along with it. Unlike the PRS SE245 i recently had. (not actually sure if the SE245 is fatter but i dont seem to have a problem with this one?)
The Grassroots was bought for shits and giggles + i dont currently have a guitar with single coils... hoping i can get a strat-ish sound from it. Unfortunately its missing the output jack so i havnt been able to try her out but that should arrive in the next few days.
And heres a clip of the Edwards. Starts off clean then turns mean... all controlled with the volume knob. Love how it cleans up right at the end!
And while im at it here is a high gain clip:
