Roadside NGD - sort of - 89 MIJ Fender Strat

So, I'd been trying to catch up to this guy who had a decent-looking strat for trade. He wanted a combo amp. I wanted a strat. I had $350 in my Blackstar HT20 Studio and thought that would be a decent price for a Strat. (I'd done a little research on this model.)

But we kept missing each other because we're both busy. So, on my way to a business thing some miles away, I met him at a gas station along I-35 and we each looked at what the other had and traded.

And then I hauled the guitar with me to my business thing. So this is a hotel room shot and it's shitty, but I'll get better photos when I get home.

It's an E-series MIJ strat with a Kahler trem, rosewood fretboard, etc. It's very solid, has a couple of decent dings in it (I might have it painted anyway) but the neck seems straight and it seems to be all factory and it plays well.

You can't see it because of the shitty picture but the grain on this rosewood fretboard is amazing.

Anyway, better pics when I get home. Fender hard case included.

All I can ask is that I suck a little less each time I pick up my guitar...

Nice. Those Kahlers were ugly as shit but functionally great. Plus old Japanese builds were pretty decent. I have an A serial TL52-80 which is brilliant.

Look awesome! Hopefully all the parts are there for the trem as those spyders are very hard to get parts for and if you dont have the trem arm your only hope is dave at Frets on the Net
