Recently I purchased a BC Rich 7 string v, and I purchased strap locks for it, I purchased the Dunlop ones. When installing the screw at the back of the guitar i noticed that it would only go about 3/4 of the way in. I tried to use force, but i almost ended up stripping the screw. I know the easy way around this would be to make a new screw hole for this screw somewhere else, but I also had the same issue w/ a dean i purchased years ago. I've also never had this problem with these 2 guitars. The holes are behind the neck on both guitars, but on my old gibson v was a simple install. Any suggestions other than moving the screw hole? Even so, could i get a shorter screw? Maybe use glue in the hole? I really don't want to make a new hole in the guitar.
