Hey all, I have this guitar, which I got cheaply about 2 years ago and due to not liking the stock pickups, I got a Seymour Duncan Nazgul (which has not been installed) but I'm wondering if you lot think it would actually be worth it to do the full upgrade thing? (This would involve getting another SD- probably a Sentient, a new nut and probably some new pots) Although it's a nice playing, solid guitar, it has neckdive, a good few quality flaws and weighs an absolute tonne so I don't really like playing it at gigs.
If it makes any difference, it has an alder body, a maple neck and a rosewood fretboard.
You have the actual guitar, you tell us.
I got one of those years ago, because hetfield and it was funny to me. The bridge was so far out of place it wouldn't intonate better than 1/4 tone sharp. Otherwise it was fine, for the money.
But judge the guitar you have. Sounds like you've made your mind up, though.
