    Weird ESP!

This is being sold in Sweden. The seller says it's an M-II Deluxe, but I've never seen one with pickguard.
It can of course have been added by somebody afterwards, but wouldn't that ruin the guitar value? He "only" wants $800 which is a fair price for ESPs in sweden in general...

Anyway, I'm not going to buy it, but it's an interesting guitar. I think it looks GREAT with a pickguard, so I'm really not turned off by it. I really wish ESP could make more pickguard Ms!

I like that. If it was an aftermarket pickguard, it was done very well. Any shots of the back of the body? That'd be the give-away, if it was also rear-routed.

Nope only that picture. Weird tho, he keeps taking new photos all the time, and then putting up new ads for the instruments.

He also sells some Grover Jackson Kelly and a Kramer Rhoads-a-like. I have a feeling they are a bit too expensive to be sold, but I don't know the exact value of the guitars.

I like that a lot, and that price is great.

Some googling says that its gotta be an aftermarket job. Found an old thread on the ESP board...apparently one like that (could be that one, no pictures showed up) used to make its rounds among the members there & every time the pickguard question would come up.

I definitely dig it though & I'm not usually a fan of pickguards in general.

That is an MII, but it's an MII-U4. They're rare.

The U stands for "unexplained-and-unnecessary-but-completely-rocking-pickguard" and the 4 means nothing.
All I can ask is that I suck a little less each time I pick up my guitar...

So, hands up, how many people were expecting something like the below and not just a superstrat?
