A good number of you have already seen this on facebook, so the only point of this thread will be better pictures. I'd have posted it by now, but I've been busy having my ass handed to me by Chris on a mountain bike.
The short review is this thing kicks boatloads of ass. It's in very clean shape for a 2005 guitar that I know, at least recently, has been gigged, and while I'm still dialing it in to my taste and to the New England environment after coming up from Virginia, it plays awesomely and sounds huge - really clear, but not harsh, attack, and the notes just kind of bloom from there. I was going to at least briefly throw in the stock pickups to check them out, but the Alnico IIs Dave put in here sound so awesome that I may not bother. The neck is great - a little thicker tha anything else I have here (except possibly the SE) but it doesn't really feel it - I figured it was the same thickness as my Strat before I actually compared them.
I've always said good things about the PRS SE line, and I've played enough of them to know that mine is a particularly good one, and over and above that, American PRS's have rarely blown me away over the years... But this thing shits all over my SE. Maybe it's just new guitaritis or something, but this is a killer guitar.
EDIT -also, you know you bought a cork-sniffer guitar (not to knock my Suhrs - they're phenomenal, they're just a little more under the radar than a PRS) when a guy you know from high school who you used to jam with sends you a Facebook PM to congratulate you on your new guitar and suggest checking out the music shop he's a manager at these days... In Austin, TX.
