    Edge zero 2 tremolo help

So I have an Ibanez RG450DX that came with an edge zero 2 tremelo. when I first used it a couple months ago it worked no problem. Then the problems started...I couldn't tune it without one end of the strings changing pitch to compensate for the tension of the strings. if I did get it fully in tune the bridge was angled way up instead of being aligned with guitar how it's supposed to be. so after a few days of it being a pain in the ass, I just put a piece of wood in the back and blocked it. I would like to try and get it working again but don't know what to do without having the same problems. If anyone could be of help it'd be greatly appreciated

It's pretty simple, dude. You'll have this fixed in no time. There are two forces pulling on the trem in opposite directions. The springs in the back pull one way and the strings pull it the other way. This guide should sort you out.

I've got the same guitar, and the trem is a p.o.s. in my opinion. However; the problem you are having is simply a matter of learning how to properly tune a floating trem. It's a pain, but all you do really is balance the tuning adjustments with spring tension. You'll also want to work from the outside strings inward in an alternating fashion, or you'll never get it right. There are good "how to' guides and YouTube vids on the subject. GL.

The edge zero holds its own against any other high quality trem if you take the time to set it up properly.

I think my 3xxv has that bridge, and it stays in tune as good as my original edge. They are all a pain in the ass to set up.
