No I'm not looking for a girlfriend, I already have one
I know there's always some females in certain "manly/boyish" hobbys/interests, be it meching cars, computer geeks, Warhammer or whatever.
But I have NEVER seen any girls who's actually into routing, soldering, installing Floyds and just generally making partscasters or anything like that. I'm sure there must be somebody in the world but everytime a female does something "unusual" they often gets some interview or something...
There's barely any electric guitar luthiers out there either, and acoustic luthiers doesn't count because that's boring.
I just find this topic interesting, the complete oblivion of this "type" of persons. Has there ever been a female version of Eddie Van Halen or Brian May? Now they are obviously two of very few male guitarists who plays their own builds/partscasters, but still...
Has Warmoth, USACG or Musikraft ever had any orders from women?
And then actually put it together by themselves?
I know many guys buys parts from these companies and let luthiers put them together but really, I could assemble a REALLY nice playing Warmoth guitar at first try with little to none experience in guitar modding... It's not rocket science, and they make good enough quality parts so you don't have to worry about anything really
So the real question is... are guys who don't put their own guitars together like women?
