I have a Schecter Banshee hard tail and I really want to get my arms on a floating trem/locking nut guitar.
I want HH or HSH with pickups that don't need replacing. I'd like a medium or thinner neck profile. Strat/superstrat shape.
I have about $1500 burning a hole in my pocket and I can stretch to buy that darn Suhr Modern Satin Floyd ... but I'm curious if I should be looking at anything else first?
I want to play some Yngwie, Metallica, VH, Ozzy and other 70's and 80's rock.
Other than just STFU and buy a Suhr Modern, what would you be grabbing?
Not to rant, but I am so damn sick of going to GC. Everything is set up so poorly it's useless. At this point, I'd rather just buy something on the net and send it back if it doesn't work for me.
Charvel? Carvin? Ibanez? Schecter? What are you drooling about in this category?
Suhr is amazing, including the Satin series. As for the rest, I'd go Carvin or Prestige/J-Custom Ibanez. Schecter isn't the same level unless you're talking possibly American. Charvels (Pro Mod, San Dimas) are nice $700 guitars, but aren't the same level as the rest, IMO.
