NDD: Christmas comes early this year

    dB5, my Javelin, is home...

Roasted Ash body with copper grain filler.
Roasted Maple neck and fretboard with Darren's NEXUS neck carve.
Big Ol' stainless frets with hidden tangs and semi-hemi ends.
    Oni H/S pickups.

Here you can see the unique neck carve, it starts off with a fairly normal C-ish shape at the nut; at around the 9th fret it transitions into a semi-V shape - the bass side of the neck is fairly flat. A remarkably comfortable neck carve. I'm quite happy I took a chance on it.

After the body was cut, Darren suggested using a metallic grain filler. My first reaction was , but then Darren sent this picture -

After seeing the copper my reaction turned into

The copper around the side-dots really ties it together too

It's only been about an hour, so I'm definitely still in the honeymoon phase, but it has earned one of two spots in my bedroom - displacing my silver drip Suhr. That is a strong statement for me...

I did the copper side dots like that on my first headless. Cool looking guitar.

Congrats! I believe I got to see this (or a version of it?) in the shop the last time I swung by. Darren's work is outstanding.

Who in the fuck made that monstrosity???

Killer looking axe man. Darren makes killer guitars it would seem.

The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No. ― Alan Moore
