NGD - My first Les Paul (Studio Content)

Picked this up in a trade this morning.

This is a 2016 Gibson Les Paul Studio T Faded - yup, it's the lower end of the 2016 line, but it's my first Les Paul and I'm pretty happy about it.

Unlike the faded SG I picked up a few months ago, (and immediately turned around for my RGA) this does not have a baseball bat neck. It's actually quite comfortable - called a "rounded 59 profile."

This is a mahogany body and neck, maple top, faded brown stain with thin satin nitro coat, black pickguard, rosewood fretboard. Pickups are Burstbucker Pros.

I played it for a couple hours after restringing it and so far so good. It's probably prettier in person than in the photos.

All I can ask is that I suck a little less each time I pick up my guitar...

I swear you get more gear than I do. XD

Nice guitar, I always did have a soft spot for the studio. Felt more balanced to me and not so back breaking as the standards. You should have a blast with it.

Those faded Studios are great guitars. All the tone, none of the frilly extras. Nice that they have trapezoid fret markers this year!
