Lately I've been interested in M-IIs but according to this page they have 12" radius?
I don't like that. I wanna have at least a compound radius so it gets real flat.
But then I saw that the Kirk Hammett signature model has 16"
How does THAT work!? I really don't get it. There are no 16" Floyd Rose locking nuts! The closest is 15", but that would still make the outer strings too low and inner too high.
The Gotoh locking nuts have 14" and 16" radiuses, so I could only imagine him having a Gotoh 16" nut. But I dont that that's the case, right?
I have a 14" nut on my Barrington with 12" and I just can't get it perfect! The middle strings touches the fret while the outer are STILL TOO HIGH. I need perfect and low on every string at the nut.
So I'm going to the only PLEK service in Sweden to get it PLEKed to a 14-16" radius so it fits the 14" nut I have.
Why does companies make guitars that doesn't even fit the hardware?
And I know the OFR R3 nut is 12" so that fits the M-II perfectly. Just not for me.
