    New "Tele" Day.

Been on a telecaster kick lately since I worked on one for a buddy. Saw this ESP/LTD TE212 in guitar center this afternoon used for $99 so I couldn't pass it up. Didn't even know they made these. Figured it would be fun for some modding, if anything. Pretty damn solid. Has a little too much neck relief so it's a bit buzzy but that's a simple fix. Haven't played it much but the bridge pickup is actually fairly decent. Pretty hot and chunky while still having that tele "spank". Neck pickup is junk, though.
Alder body, maple neck... blah blah blah. lol. Tonight I'll probably strip it down and at least slap in a Wolfetone Marshallhead neck that I have lying around.

Eventually I'd like something like a DiMarzio Fast Track tele bridge pickup or a similar Duncan like a Little '59(any opinions on those? Or anything else?). I want to keep the bridge hot and use a mini humbucker so I can get a bit more oomph and have a few options with switching. Not really concerned with a traditional tele sound.

It's in near perfect shape save for some pick scratches on the pickguard and it looks like whoever played it last just finished off a whole bucket of KFC chicken.

Probably going to hop online tonight and snag a white pearloid pickguard for it. Any good places for those? Looks to be Fender spec'd.

Gratuitous "in front of the over-powered high gain amp it will be used with" shot.

The chicken grease adds to the tone.

Nice snag. Looks like a lot of fun. Happy NGD!
All I can ask is that I suck a little less each time I pick up my guitar...
