I have spent approximately 20 hours playing the guitar now and can confirm that this guitar is unbelievable. There are so many things that make this guitar superior to others I have played, but these are the main points I have observed:
- It is rare to play a guitar with such low action that allows me to aggresively grab the strings for vibrato and bending but still allow for top speed.
- The guitar hangs perfectly in place so I don’t have to use my arms to hold it at all.
- Lack of upper fret access has always bothered me. I had to adjust my technique to play high up on the neck of other guitars. Not on this one. The 24th fret is just as easy to reach as the 15th, and the lower horn doesn’t get in the way at all. This is a huge deal to me as the lower horn and lack of access would always mean having to turn my hand to play high up the neck… very cumbersome.
- BareKnuckle Juggernauts are excellent all around pick ups. High end metal tones have so much clarity and the cleans sparkle.
The entire ordering process was smooth and Tom was always reliable, honest and quick with his replies.
Incredible guitars and equally incredible prices. Anyone looking for their dream guitar should seriously consider a Waghorn.
