So err yeah... I saw this on eBay, put a bid down which was the reserve price and somehow won.
It's an Ibanez RG2020X from 2000 and in its time, as you can see, it has had a fair few bumps and some serious playing, hence the fairly chewed up frets. I opened the gigbag to find it with a pretty mucky fretboard, grease smudges on the body as well as strings that looked like they hadn't been changed in a few years so a cleanup and new setup was in order, although the trem is blocked off on one side because I'm waiting for some stronger springs to arrive.
After bringing it back to life, I'm pretty pleased with the purchase as it's not exactly the easiest Ibby to find and I got it for a very reasonable price. It sounds really clear and crisp, so it's a nice contrast to my RGD and the neck is lovely. Plays beautifully and it has some nice flaming on some parts. The subtle 12th fret only inlay is also a nice touch. Classy looking axe.
I'll probably install some Evos and give the frets some TLC when I've made enough progress on my current build to justify it
