NGD no3 (and the last for now)

In the final installment of "guitars I traded the Road King for", I picked this up on the way back from getting the Mark III. In a rather convoluted deal, 7DT's was buying this from Mr S, but hadn't actually received it when we made the deal for the Road King. Hence me swinging past the studio Ryan was recording at to pick it up. Sadly timing didn't work out and Ryan was making an emergency trip for drum skins when I arrived, but his bassist kindly handed it over.

No serial number, but very, very clean for a guitar at least 20 years old

    The trem looks virtually new

Backplate missing off the trem cavity, but I'll replace that down the line

I had to clean the back of the neck as it was filthy, but it's now clean as can be. Very, very smooth as it's been sanded down in the past

This has reminded me how awesome block heel Universes are, so I'm looking forward to taking it to rehearsal tomorrow. Universe + Mark III is a good combo
I'm so metal I shit bats

Haha man, I had no idea you were scoring this. Me and this beast have a lot of history! I set it up when Ryan put it up for sale. Borrowed it off him on many occasions for recordings and videos etc too.

    Most recently, this one

Very nearly snagged it off him at one point but since I just don't use 7 strings these days it seemed like a wasted investment.

Great score man, look after that shit!

    That video sounds beastly

Yeah, I'm liking it at lot. Just got it back from my setup guy last night, just had minor tweaks to work with my string gauges as it was already really well setup (I hate intonating Floyds with a passion). I'm hoping to work a few things out now so I can manage to keep this and the M307, which looks pretty likely. Especially after getting that Mark III sooo damn cheap
