I don't want to spend money on a Tremol-No at the moment, so instead I am trying to invent a new blocking system for Floyd Rose and since I didn't have all necessary tools available...
The general idea is that there should be adjustable blocking parts both in front of and back och the block, but this would have to do for now. I would have to rout out more on the guitar to make place for the actual blcoking mechanism, but my router doesn't seem to work and I would need some more metal parts to make this reality.
It's hard to see everyting so here's a more detailed picture:
It's quite obvious why "Prototype I" doesn't work flawlessly:
1. It interferes with the screws (the real plan doesn't)
2. It's slow to adjust, and the tuner sticks out from the guitar
3. You have to drill a hole in the sustain block for the string...
So yeah it does "work" but it's not a end-all construction, and the next one shouldn't involve any kinds of tuners or strings haha
I gotta figure out some more ideas for Prototype II!!!
You know, that saddle you have blocking the trem could possibly move even when you don't want it to due to the way it's attached, right?
I usually just block floyds like this:
Keep it simple, it typically works better that way.
