My buddy (who really doesnt play guitar) has had an 80s Charvel that his uncle passed down to him years ago. He started playing here and there and by looking at it, there were obvious issues. The strings probably have not been changed in 10 years. The trem was nowhere close to being level and was being pulled up quite a bit. The volume pot was constantly cutting in and out. Also, the input jack needs replacing as it cuts out if cord is bumped.
So I took off all the strings and cleaned up the fretboard and restrung it and leveled out the bridge. Its a jackson trem thats made by Schaller. Knife edges look really good however, part of the threads where the trem arm screws onto is broken (forgot what this is called). Where can I get a replacement for this?
Volume pot was fixed easily with some contact cleaner.
The questions I have are as follows:
What exact model is this guitar?
Where can I find a new input jack for it?
This guitar seems to have some sort of stock jackson active pickup system too. Any details on this?
Pictures are posted. Thanks guys.
