That just doesn't do much for me.

You would think so from the looks of it but it's actually lighter than you think! It's lighter than my walnut Thorn for comparison since you have played that a few times. The body is chambered/semi-hollow so it's not quite as light as a Parker or anything like that but it's definitely not heavy!

Yeah man, Ron's fretwork is superb IMO. Even the fret ends on my stainless steel ones came out amazingly rounded and smooth!

That looks slick. I like those inlays too.

That looks very cool indeed. I'd imagine the carbon fibre gives it a lot of bite, but not overly bright due to the mahogany?

What are the inlays made of? Looks almost like a tight grained marble.

Thanks James! It's actually not overly bright at all, not sure if it's a combo of the woods used with the carbon fiber and the pickups or what but it has a very even tone. Not as bright as say a Parker Fly Deluxe, if you've ever played one of the older ones with the First Gen DiMarzios you know what I mean. Ron said the midrange is strong due to the black limba neck too. The inlays are some material that looks like marble but isn't actual marble, I forget what he called it but I can ask him next time he calls me.

That looks tight, but I can't get away with how close the machineheads are on the headstock

OK details on the inlay. Ive been trying to figure out a way to cut marble without a wetsaw etc since you posted this

I figured that'd be the case. I've never played a Fly, but I have played an ME guitar, which is all carbon fibre apart from the ebony fretboard. I have to admit the guitars were bright and biting, but not too much. They had Bare Knuckle pickups, and overall were an extremely versatile and well balanced guitar in terms of sound. That fact they don't make a 7 and the starting price is £3000 are the only things that put me off. If I had £3k+ to drop on a 6 string, I'd seriously consider one.

Whoa those are sweet-looking! Never heard of that brand before but I dig the design. Yeah it's not a sterile-sounding guitar in the least bit. It plays really nicely and it's an added bonus that it is so lightweight!
