Those are some nice looking guitars. I like the upper cut and the 7XX with the natural wood finish but the used market for Ibanez is just too good for me to consider buying one new. For 600 to 1000 Canadian I can easily find quite a few MIJ prestige Ibbys.

The 655 with the maple board is cool - basically a classic RG spec.

Thats what Ibanez should be doing = but more color options than blue and black

RG655s in white, red, blue, yellow, black, blue, orange, green, gray, purple etc etc and everybody would have what they want!
Oh and also with and without pickguards, and rosewood and maple fretboards.

ALL OPTIONS SHOULD BE AVAIALBABLE AND NOBODY WOULD BE BITCHING ABOUT IT! I would get the white with rosewood and pickguard

They would waste so much money building guitars that will just sit in a warehouse and not sell. The only way your idea works is if each colour is in very small numbers, and therefore hard to find, or if they're made to order, and then you have to pay more and wait.

If only you weren't completely wasting your time.

Maple board on the 655 is nothing new. The blue always was available with the maple board. The orange and black, rosewood.

    Well, explain this then?

Pretty much the same target audience.

Why can Charvel do this, and not Ibanez?

    Explain it, like now!

And note that this isn't even all models in all colors; there's white So-Cals as well, not pictured here.

Get a Charvel then, It will be my next Guitar and its already decided since some months ago

Im still not sure if a FR (that I never use to be honest) or a Hardtail... but seems theres no SoCal (Pickguard) in hardtail version

A Guthrie Govan style cheaper version would be great to me.

I personally think the Charvel userbase is very different than the Ibanez one, Charvel gathers to more people wanting flashy colors and 80-90 designs in the Hard Rock area, Ibanez market isn't really for those. They are seen as more Metal and "Djenty" guitars and those bright solid colors with with old school Fender Bodies and Necks simply don't attract its crowd. Heck only recently im looking at Strats (and Charvels)... last year I could barely stand them
