So, the cort needs epoxy (yes the cort, NGD coming soon to a metalguitarist.org near you, if you happen to live near the servers chris put the page on), so im gonna slap some basic marine epoxy in the grooves and hsit to get it playing, but the local luthier offered to help me with the basics of building a new neck for it, but doesnt have any real experience with fretless stuff.
Point is, ive got a cocobolo board on order, and want to epoxy it. I know its not necessary with the cocobolo since its so hard and oily, but i just want to go all out on the fucker. What kind of finishing? marine epoxy? something else? Poly?
Suggestions guys? Id like i nice clean clear look a la
which i realize wont come out quite as nice my first time around but i like to set high standards for myself
Jaco used marine epoxy. Fill the fret slots with maple veneer and epoxy the shit out of it. Be prepared for lots and lots of sanding, though!
