    2-3 years ago I would have agreed, but now it's the other way round, originals went through the roof recently, you'll find beaters for about what these sell for. Even the DY and SKs have gone up a ridiculous amount. If you'd have bought a DY or SK about 3-4 years ago, you'd be looking at 100% or higher profit if selling it now. It just suddenly went more nuts than it already was.

    The original ones are the only Ibanez I GAS over. I played the original back in the day, and it was amazing. The subsequent ones haven't been nearly as much to my liking for whatever reason.

    Same to be honest, over the years they changed the neck profile, and they just never felt the same. I had an original DY, and that was awesome, but this feels and plays better.

    The original DYs are still tough to find, despite them being made for at least 5 years. Fantastic guitars though

    Agreed, and they're on a different planet from the RGs, despite sharing so much of their design with them.
