You mentioned in a thread that you have been installing ring terminals for the grounds in your guitars. Would you mind posting a pic? Do you have to paint the control cavity with a conductive paint? Should I expect my Schecter and Ibanez guitars to already have this paint?
Thanks in advance
I do something like this:
Star ground everything to that point instead of the back of a pot, and then run one ground from there to the output jack.
I prefer copper tape to the shielding paint. The copper is a really solid shield, and can be applied in a matter of minutes once you're used to handling it, whereas the graphite shielding paint needs at least 3 coats, and 24 hours of drying time between coats to do it properly.
If your cavity looks like the one in the pic, it's likely already shielded with the paint, but it can never hurt to add more shielding if you think it's not as good as it could be.
