I have decided to finally replace the bridge Pickup on my GSA, as it wasn't really doing it for me. Since I am not as familiar with passives as I am actives, I have decided to turn to the great collective wisdom of this forum.
I am particularly partial towards a Motherbucker, since I am not willing to spend huge amounts as this guitar only cost me R2500 (360.00 USD) - guitars are expensive in South Africa. The guitar's body is made of Agathis and it has a maple neck. I would love to hear suggestions regarding other decent "value" humbuckers.
In terms of gear, I have a Digitech Death Metal Distortion Pedal and an Ibanez GTA15R practice amp (and an MTM1, but that's not really relevant ). Also, I am planning to buy a Roland Cube 80XL in the not too distant future.
You could probably find a used Duncan JB or DiMarzio Super Distortion or something in good shape for pretty cheap.
