*I have no idea what i'm doing inside a guitar*
The jack on my c1 just stopped working. I shook it a bit and it cut in and out. I popped it open and bent the 'prongs' in a bit to try to make a better connection on the cable. That didn't really do anything.
I change the 9v battery as well (running a SD blackout, no neck pu)
wires/solders all seem intact.
What should i look at now? It worked fine the last time i played it.
What kind of a jack is it?
An enclosed, barrel-type jack:
or an open, Switchcraft-type?
If it's cutting in and out, it's most likely a bad jack or a bad solder joint. Since you're using active electronics, be sure to check the battery and power connections as well. Just go one-by-one through the whole circuit, wiggling wires if you have to, in order to find the problem.
Try replacing the battery as well. Sometimes on digital circuits, there's no indication that the battery is getting low in voltage delivery. The circuit just shuts off when it gets below a certain threshold.
Also check your cable.
