Default Tuners: Schaller Vs Gotoh

Ok, I've got a new guitar coming by the end of the month. It's a fixed bridge, which is a first for me in a very long time.

The first thing I'll be doing is replacing the stock nut with bone. That leaves me with the next natural mod, the tuners.

What's everyone's opinion on both tuners? I'm curious to hear the positive and negative traits of both Schaller and Gotoh.

Also, I didn't include Sperzels as they're currently not an option.

Go.

I have no problems with either one. Most of my Schallers, though, are the HAP (height adjusting posts) and to tell you the truth, I never really use that feature.

Gotoh have always been rock solid for me as well.

So far, having a bunch of MIJ RGs, I'm comfortable with Gotoh tuners. I'm just thinking if it's worth the extra price with something Schaller would offer differently.
