There's a chance I might be picking up an RGA8 soon (yes Chris, I know ) and it already has an EMG 808X in the bridge. I've heard that the regular 808's pretty well suck (not as bad as stocks but still), so I'm trying to decide on the best pickups for the guitar. 27" scale, bolt on maple neck with rosewood fretboard, mahogany body. Choices are:
Seymour Duncan Blackouts
Dimarzio D'Activators (should fit into the pickup cavities without any routing from what I've seen)
BKP's (not sure about fit but would most likely work without routing)
I haven't tried these pickups so I'm not sure what'd be best. If you're suggesting BKP please suggest model as well as I'm clueless
Nothing could possibly suck more than the stock pickups in the RGA8.
