Based on the specs and what I can decipher from the clips, it's just a slightly lower output Tone Zone.

These seem like they're taking the Breed in the opposite direction the Dominion did, not really my thing.

Well, no asymmetrical coils like a TZ, but that's a plus IMO.

Hey, thanks to those of you who checked out my little Soundcloud demo. I'm working on a full song to show what they sound like in context. Fun pickups! I wouldn't say it's like a lower-output Tone Zone so much as what I like about the Breed and Evo mixed together minus what I don't. The bridge Gravity Storm seems to sound like a thicker, not-shrill version of Vai's Alien Love Secrets tone, great for straight-into-the-amp rockin'.

Love your site man. I think I have a good 1,000 posts of copy/paste/link to stuff you've written. Thanks for all the legwork!

I'd like to check these out. The Evolutions in my JEM are just a bit....much. I'm not digging the high-output sound as much as I used to.

Damnit, why did Keith's pick-up demo use Duncan's instead of Dimarzio's?

Hey thanks so much! I'm now at a point where I can cut out some of my lower-paying freelance jobs and focus more completely on a few particular writing gigs and I Heart Guitar - the site should be kicking up a notch in terms of video reviews etc pretty soon as a result.

Dimarzios all sound the same, anyway.

If you knew the whole story behind it--you wouldn't think it was "dickish."

And to all of the others bashing the video--again, if you knew the whole story--you'd have different opinions.
You're all entitled to them.
Larry didn't ask for a video, either.

I had to grab what I could at 2:00 am while recovering from several back and leg surgeries and heavily medicated--just to get those pickups "known to the world."
