My Buddy Blaze Sevenator 7-string prototype just got some new pickups: Seymour Duncan Full Shred and '59. This guitar is poplar and the folks at Duncan suggested the Full Shred for the combination of smoothness, richness and chunk I was after, and they were SPOT ON. It sounds exactly like I wanted. Great vocal mids, the treble isn't too bright, and the output is right where I needed it.
The '59 is killer too, and I was surprised by how good it sounded in split coil mode. Very fat, a little scooped in the mids but not too much, just enough to get that sort of flutey sound. Love it! I'm recording a bunch of tracks at the moment so I'll have some tunes for you to hear soon.
Awesome man, what the hell guitar is that?
