    Awesome video, I'm so glad he used the same guitar and same amp settings to truly compare the two. Apples to apples in this guitar I think the EMTY slays the 707. In a brighter guitar like a Loomis I bet the darker 707's would work better, but it's nice to see another choice.

    I can stop watching this video, it really amazes how complementary the two pickups are. I can't wait to stick it in a DC 700.

    The EMTY sounded much better to me. I've actually never really been a big fan of the 707 anyway.

    The 707 has a more scooped mid that I don't like in comparison to the Blackout. The Blackout, however, has a harsher top-end where the smoothness of the 707 seems more desirable, imo. Both have razor attack, a definite super tight bass and large, compressed mid-low consistency which is absolutely necessary for this style of metal.
