So I've got another guitar I need to knab some pickups for. This one is interesting though, it's a basswood Flying V kit with a 24.75 scale, which is different from your standard RG with basswood so I'm really at a loss with what to do with it. It will also have the standard maple neck/rosewood fretboard setup.
My basic idea is that I want it to have an old-school metal oriented sound, and I must call upon your vast knowledge for this quest.
I basically want it to have a thick bottom end that won't flub out because of the basswood body and a decent mid punch that will mix well with my Marshall I guess. One of the things I would love to be able to do with it would be to put some sort of PAF in it, hopefully it would sound totally classic so I could rock Nuclear Assault and Venom and other 80s crap on this.
One of the more interesting things I found was Rockfield, who come standard in BC Rich, and I was wondering what you're opinions are on them if any?

Thanks for any advice, and I promise to post a pic story when i get it in for all of you to enjoy.
Tone Zone, maybe? I dind't care for the 7, but the 6 is a hotter PAF with a ton of mids.
