Hey there. First post ever on this site and coming from a beginning guitarist at that (Well sort of. I've been playing on and off for the past few years, but that's beside the point.)
Getting down to business, I've been remodeling my SG and I'm almost done. I've spent the last couple of days at guitar center playing this telecaster that I've absolutely fell in love with. That single coil pickup near the bridge really gives me the sound I'm looking for and I want to bring that sound to my SG.
Currently, I have a Seymour Duncan sh-4 JB model humbucker in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan sh-1 59 single conductor humbucker in the neck.
Obviously, in order to get that single coil sound, I would need a single coil pickup right? I've been looking to put a Gibson P94T pickup in the bridge position but I'm wondering how it would sound in combination with the sh-1. I know that both have that vintage enamel coated wire which seems to make the sound coming out of the guitar a bit sharp but also fuller in sound.
So what are some of your thoughts?

The SG, with its set neck and shorter scale length, won't ever truly sound like a Telecaster. That said, something like the Lindy Fralin Twangmaster (or just splitting the coils on your bridge pickup) can get you close.
